About Us
Last updated: February 2026
The Option Stack is an independent review publication for options traders. We evaluate brokerage platforms on the criteria that actually matter to active traders: commissions, platform quality, options tools, order execution, and customer support. No fluff, no spec-sheet comparisons — just real trading experience.
Our Mission
Choosing the right broker is one of the highest-leverage decisions an options trader can make. A mediocre platform costs you money on every trade — in wider spreads, slower fills, and missing tools. Our mission is to give you an honest, detailed picture of each platform so you can trade on the best possible infrastructure.
Our Editorial Standards
Every broker reviewed on The Option Stack is evaluated against a consistent rubric:
- Options commissions and per-contract fees
- Platform quality on desktop and mobile
- Options-specific tools: chains, Greeks, strategy builders, P&L analysis
- Order types supported and execution quality
- Margin rates and account minimums
- Research, education, and screener tools
- Account opening process and funding speed
- Customer service quality and response time
Affiliate relationships do not affect ratings. If a broker charges high commissions or has a poor mobile app, we say so — regardless of what they pay us.
Our Methodology
Our team opens and funds test accounts at each broker we review. We execute real trades, test the options chain interface, and evaluate each platform across our full rubric. Reviews are updated when platforms release major updates, change pricing, or when we receive credible reader reports of changed quality.
Who We Are
